Memorial Weekend

The end of May signals the end of the school year. While it is a busy time for Cindy to get everything done before school is out, once it is done it is a great relief. We spent Sunday meeting as family out in Plain City. It is a tradition to visit the various family graves and then met at Gaven's for a family picture. mark and Jane were in Europe this time and Archie was not feeling well so he and Sharon were not there.

On Monday Cindy and I went on a bike ride along the river parkway and had a picnic lunch.  A Tulip tree was in bloom by the place we ate.

We then rode to see Gaven's Red Horse chestnut tree which is at the south end of Big D park. It is doing well and was just ending flowering.

That evening was a Jennings family picnic which started the summer season off.

Before the picnic we saw deer on the green hill of Wal Mart. Payton said she saw them run through the field. During the picnic the kids came running over from the playground. There was an owl it the branches by the play house. The parties are getting more wild.
